Nutrition & Fitness Consultant

Sue Bethell

My Background

Having grown up on a farm in New Zealand I was fortunate to enjoy

plenty of wholesome home cooked food and lots of active work and

play. My first career was as a chartered accountant, helping people

manage their financial affairs. Now I am helping people live a

healthier lifestyle and loving every minute of it.

My Expertise

Healthy eating - There are so many conflicting messages about what we should and shouldn’t eat, from fad diets to well supported scientific research. I can help you make sense of it all so that you can make smart choices about the food you eat.

Sports nutrition - As a competitive powerlifter holding world records in my weight class and age group I appreciate the difference that proper nutrition can make to training and competition. Optimise your nutrition and you will optimise your performance.

Weight management - If losing body fat was as simple as reducing calorie intake by 500 kcal per day then everyone would do it. Six years ago I successfully lost 15 kg, about 22% of my previous bodyweight, and have kept it off so I know how challenging weight loss and weight management can be.

Physical fitness - If you are one of those people who hate exercise then I have some good news for you, exercising and being physically active are not the same thing. I am confident that together we can find an activity that will get you moving more and improve your fitness.

My Ethos

With appropriate help and encouragement everyone has the capacity to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and live a healthier lifestyle.
